Baja 1000: A Legendary Off-Road Odyssey

​Few things say "Baja" like the custom of off-road racing. Attend a race and you'll find extended families donning t-shirts to support their sons, nephews, and parents. Vehicles scale from dirtbikes to ATVs to old VW bugs to million dollar trophy trucks emblazoned with strobe lights and sound systems.

This year's race travels from south to north for the first time, beginning in la Paz and ending in Ensenada. Here's a bit more about its history and why it's so important to Baja culture:
